DAVID QUAMMEN is an award-winning American science, nature and travel writer. He authored the “Natural Acts” column for Outside magazine for 15 years. An absolutely BEAUTIFUL book. Good writing on the history and features of Yellowstone Park and the photographs are stunning. The quality of the the book is first class. This is going to be a Christmas present for my husband, so I haven't totally read through it yet, but just from what I've seen so far, this is just a beautiful coffee-table-worthy book. Very happy with it.
Wow! A tour de force on Yellowstone and it's surrounding ecosystem. The quality one expects from National Geographic - extensive research, thoughtful and balanced articles plus stunning photographs. A fitting tribute to Yellowstone, both a treasure and a temple.
Beautiful photographs, typical of Nat Geo, but I wish it could have been published in a slightly larger format.
