Larger sized board book. I've shown it pictured next to the large cable tv remote to show it's size. Colorful and sturdy. I'm sure it will last through several rowdy toddler boys. The pages are full of different types of trucks. Lots to look at. Well worth the money.
My 22 month old calls this "digger book" (his first two word phrase, which tells you just how much he values this book). He's been through it countless times a day, and it's taught him (and me!) some of the names of construction equipment, emergency vehicles, and more. It's very fun and educational, with a great layout that keeps kids focused on the pages (and out of parents' hair, at least for awhile). It's really a great book for the price, and my kid just loves it, which is what's really important with this kind of thing, isn't it? :)
My two year old loves this book. He's really into trucks. I find it boring because it does not have a story, but he insists we read it every night. It has concepts for big and small, opposites, colors, and the last page to match the driver with the different trucks. Although it's not mommy's favorite, it is definitely a great book for little boys who loves trucks!
Our son is obsessed with this book. For the longest time, it was the only book that captured his attention (and after a long period of doing a lot of focused storytime sessions since he was <1 yo!)... Great variety of trucks, love the tabs - makes it easy to find certain trucks, love the themes... just enough words to read from / embellish from during storytime... nice exercises, too (like match the person / worker to the vehicle, there's also an opposites section)...
I love DK publishing books. My son loves the tab books. My mom originally bought him a few from Hastings and they have always been his favorites and really helped him learn a lot of new words and colors. I ordered this for his 2nd birthday because he loves trucks. I was so surprised how many trucks were actually in this book. He loves it and won't put it down. Also dk publishing board books are good quality. They're perfect for toddlers.
Two year old granddaughter goes to this book every time she visits, reads several times and then finds them in traffic. Great themes based on types of vehicles, purposes, colors, drivers, and two pages to show back front/up/down.
My 2 year old boy loooovvveees this book. Great big detailed pictures along with some technical names of them. Would recommend to anyone who losses their mind when they see a construction site with equipment or trucks.
I bought this book for my kids after we borrowed it from our local library. They were really into it so I decided to purchase a copy for home. The book itself is made of cardboard and is durable for the younger kids. The individual color pictures that you see around the cover are tabs. Each page has it's theme and is full of colorful pictures and each truck is labeled. The book is a good size too! All in all it was a great buy and I got a good deal on it .
